Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ammar Awadalla!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Awadalla looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Overkill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Awadalla gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Overkill doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Awadalla counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Overkill might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Awadalla really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Overkill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Awadalla goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Overkill has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Awadalla but great work by Overkill.

Awadalla is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Overkill gets his way!

Awadalla is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Awadalla throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Overkill tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Awadalla is in Overkill's guard.
Awadalla stands and throws Overkill's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Overkill is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Ammar Awadalla showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Awadalla has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
