Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between TJ O Brian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Dolbakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). TJ O Brian has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, TJ O Brian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Dolbakov! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Brian dives in and grabs Dolbakov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dolbakov pushes down on O Brian's head and hops out. Dolbakov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! O Brian shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dolbakov as he jumps to the side. A punch combination from O Brian misses. Dolbakov tries to clinch up. O Brian shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dolbakov pinned against the cage. Dolbakov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TJ O Brian. That's going to take a lot out of him. O Brian throws a lazy right hand but Dolbakov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Dolbakov tries to clinch but O Brian moves out of range. Dolbakov is looking to clinch. O Brian circles away from the clinch attempt and O Brian counters with a nice body kick. O Brian misses with the combination.
O Brian will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dolbakov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around O Brian's waist but O Brian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dolbakov off to one side. Dolbakov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from O Brian. Dolbakov tries to clinch but fails miserably and O Brian counters with a solid body kick. Ivan Dolbakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Excellent takedown into side control there by O Brian. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Dolbakov is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Dolbakov taking punishment in the form of punches.
Dolbakov is trying to get back to his feet. O Brian trying to control the position but Dolbakov is working away. O Brian tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no O Brian has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Brian lands some shots froms side control. Dolbakov wants to get back to his feet but O Brian drags him back down. Dolbakov tries to control but O Brian manages to take his back. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! O Brian trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Dolbakov doesn't escape. O Brian is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Dolbakov has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. O Brian looking for the choke from the back. Dolbakov tries to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dolbakov staying busy and making it hard for O Brian to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dolbakov wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. O Brian really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Dolbakov. O Brian is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Dolbakov up.
Dolbakov controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. O Brian is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
O Brian is cranking Dolbakov's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Dolbakov! He's tightened the choke and Dolbakov is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). TJ O Brian!
