Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Emelio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kai Emelio!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelio shoots in looking for a takedown but Miller manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Emelio's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Miller displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Emelio.
Miller misses with a low kick.
Miller moves in looking to clinch but Emelio pushes him off.
Miller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Miller tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Emelio was well out of range. Poor timing from Miller.

Miller takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Emelio manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Emelio is on top in guard.

Miller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Emelio is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kai Emelio.
Miller scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Emelio closes the distance and clinches.
Miller is trying to break the clinch but Emelio has him pressed against the cage.

Emelio has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Miller is trying to keep an underhook but Emelio manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Emelio looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Miller moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Emelio lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of David Miller.

Emelio throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Miller was covering up waiting for the punch and Emelio finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Emelio must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Emelio feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Emelio has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Miller regains guard immediately.

Well Emelio has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
