The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Velasquez is defended easily by Bane.
Velasquez defending well as Bane loads up on a big left hand.
Bane swings for the body but Velasquez moves out of range.
Velasquez drives through with a takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Velasquez passes into half guard.
Velasquez prevents Bane from standing back up.
Velasquez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bane is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
