Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Pesina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlovski kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pitbull-dont stop the party. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andrei Arlovski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dominic Pesina! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arlovski decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Pesina looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Arlovski wants to pass to mount but Pesina is defending the position. Arlovski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Arlovski is looking to advance position but Pesina won't allow it. Arlovski is working hard here to advance position. Arlovski passes to full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arlovski takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arlovski moves to the back position. A bit of a pause in the action here. Arlovski controlling the positon. Arlovski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Arlovski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arlovski seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pesina for as long as he can get away with.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Andrei Arlovski just wasn't active enough. Pesina displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Arlovski. Pesina gets caught flat footed, as Arlovski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Arlovski sitting in guard, not really doing much. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Arlovski is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Pesina's shoulder. That is not cool. Pesina sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Arlovski controlling the pace. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Arlovski postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pesina to stand up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pesina throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Arlovski gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Arlovski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Arlovski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Arlovski is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Arlovski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pesina is breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrei Arlovski. Arlovski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Arlovski lands with a kick to the temple. Pesina shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Pesina stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pesina wants it to stay on the feet. Arlovski misses with a takedown attempt - Pesina sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pesina gets a takedown into half guard. Arlovski is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Arlovski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pesina on the ground. Pesina blocks Arlovski's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pesina has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Arlovski's face.

Arlovski is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Pesina landing strikes from the mount. Arlovski regains half guard. Pesina missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pesina blocks the strikes from Arlovski.

Arlovski gets full guard. Arlovski wants to sweep here but Pesina controlling him for the moment. Arlovski throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Pesina lands a couple of digs. Pesina drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pesina jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Arlovski tries to strike from the bottom.

Pesina throws a sloppy head kick and Arlovski moves out of range easily. Arlovski fails with a takedown attempt. Arlovski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pesina to the mat! Arlovski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Arlovski is looking to pass Pesina's guard but actually Pesina recovers to full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Arlovski is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pesina has Arlovski up against the cage in a clinch.
Arlovski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Arlovski lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pesina backs up against the cage.

Pesina is trying to break the clinch but Arlovski has him pressed against the cage. Arlovski landing knees to the head.

Arlovski throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pesina was covering up waiting for the punch and Arlovski finishes the takedown easily into guard. Arlovski looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrei Arlovski showed his dominance in that final round. Well Arlovski has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
