Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Ezequiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sir Byakuya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ezequiel comes into the arena with rage killer the name blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nicolas Ezequiel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sir Byakuya! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Byakuya tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ezequiel was well out of range. Poor timing from Byakuya. Byakuya clinches with his opponent.
Byakuya wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ezequiel jumps guard but Byakuya stands there with Ezequiel around his waist. Ezequiel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ezequiel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Byakuya smiles and moves away.
Byakuya looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ezequiel trying to control from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ezequiel holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Byakuya is trying to control. Ezequiel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ezequiel has his hands clasped together around Byakuya's back. He's all about the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Byakuya instigates a clinch. Byakuya gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Ezequiel regains guard.
Byakuya won't allow Ezequiel to sweep him here. Ezequiel preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Byakuya showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ezequiel is pulling down on Byakuya's head to control his posture. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Byakuya's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sir Byakuya. A momentary lapse in concentration from Ezequiel enables Byakuya to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ezequiel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ezequiel is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ezequiel stands and steps away. Byakuya gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Byakuya shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ezequiel is trying to defend but Byakuya finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Byakuya is trying to control the action in half guard but Ezequiel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Byakuya thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Byakuya is trying to control. Ezequiel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Byakuya is taking a breather. Ezequiel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sir Byakuya wasn't active enough on the ground. Ezequiel avoids the body shot from Byakuya.
A looping hook to the body misses from Byakuya. Ezequiel does a little dance to reset his feet. Byakuya closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Byakuya is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ezequiel tries to pull guard but Byakuya won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sir Byakuya dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ezequiel gets tackled into the cage by Byakuya. Byakuya maintains the clinch. Ezequiel jumps guard but Byakuya turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Byakuya stalling.
Byakuya is trying to force a seperation but Ezequiel has the dominant position. Byakuya stalling against the cage.
Byakuya wants to break free but Ezequiel has control.
Ezequiel tries to pull guard but Byakuya holds him up against the cage and eventually Ezequiel drops back down to his feet.
Byakuya ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Byakuya no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ezequiel gets to his feet - Byakuya follows without any prompting. Sir Byakuya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Byakuya shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Byakuya was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Ezequiel is trying to control Byakuya's posture but Byakuya avoids it. Ezequiel is letting Byakuya control him for a moment. Byakuya tries to score with some ground and pound. Ezequiel controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Ezequiel could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Ezequiel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ezequiel manages to get back to half guard. Byakuya is looking to take a break and control but Ezequiel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sir Byakuya has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Byakuya closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Byakuya tightens his grip and picks Ezequiel up, before dumping him to the ground. Ezequiel manages to land in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Byakuya wants to control from the top but Ezequiel keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ezequiel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ezequiel gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Byakuya moves into the clinch. Byakuya works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ezequiel holds on and takes a little breather. Byakuya is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Byakuya missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Byakuya passes Ezequiel's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Byakuya thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ezequiel's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sir Byakuya showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Byakuya throws a head kick but Ezequiel moves out of range.
Byakuya shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Byakuya stands up and waves to Ezequiel to follow him. Byakuya closes the distance and clinches. Byakuya is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ezequiel can't fight it off and eventually Byakuya manages to take the fight to the floor. Ezequiel looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ezequiel keeping moving, preventing Byakuya from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ezequiel managing to control the position. Ezequiel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ezequiel keeping full guard, as Byakuya tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sir Byakuya has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Byakuya gets the takedown into side control. Byakuya has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Byakuya fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ezequiel to the ground. Byakuya is now in Ezequiel's guard. Byakuya takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ezequiel keeping moving, preventing Byakuya from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ezequiel has control of Byakuya's left arm, preventing Byakuya from doing any damage. Byakuya wanted to stand there but Ezequiel had control of the position. Nicolas Ezequiel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Sir Byakuya was stalling too much, according to the referee. Byakuya misses with a leg kick. Byakuya looking to score a takedown here. Ezequiel is defending well but Byakuya drives through and ends up in Ezequiel's guard. Byakuya wants to control from the top but Ezequiel keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Byakuya tries to stand but Ezequiel is controlling from the bottom. Ezequiel trying to control the position here.
Sir Byakuya has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Ezequiel avoids the head kick by Byakuya.
And that's the end of the fight! Sir Byakuya comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Byakuya has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
