Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Augello!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Rosgen!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Augello throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rosgen counters with a straight right hand.
A slapping body kick lands there for Rosgen.
Rosgen lands a jab to Augello's midsection.
Rosgen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Augello as he avoids it easily.
Augello slips under a jab from Rosgen.
Augello ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rosgen moves away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Augello throws a poor cross that misses
and Rosgen counters with a two punch combo.
Augello throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rosgen counters with a straight right hand.
Augello tests Rosgen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Rosgen walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Augello checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rosgen takes a swing at Augello's ribcage but misses.
Augello scores with a shot to the body.
Augello misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Rosgen counters with a nice uppercut.
Rosgen misses with a wild body shot.
Rosgen throws a hook to the side of Augello's head but Augello sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Augello throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Augello takes a swing at Rosgen's ribcage but misses.
Augello ducks under a wild hook from Rosgen.
Sloppy strikes from Augello. Those never looked like landing.
Augello is looking to wear down Rosgen with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Augello looks to score with a jab to the body but Rosgen is just out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rosgen wobbles Augello with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Rosgen dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Augello to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Greg Rosgen!
