Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, LeSean Mccoy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gerald Walsh! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mccoy drives through with a takedown into Walsh's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mccoy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mccoy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walsh is keeping the position for now. Walsh is looking to stand up but Mccoy isn't so interested in that idea. Walsh looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Walsh wants to stand up but Mccoy is controlling him. Mccoy slips nicely into half guard. Mccoy moves into full mount! Walsh won't be happy about that! Walsh tries to reverse the position but Mccoy maintains control. Mccoy controlling from mount. Walsh wants to hold on but Mccoy pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccoy working away from the top, dropping strikes. Mccoy looking to control but Walsh is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mccoy punishing his opponent with strikes. Walsh is in a horrible position here. Mccoy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mccoy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Walsh is looking to escape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mccoy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Mccoy controlling from mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mccoy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Walsh's face.
Mccoy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mccoy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Mccoy trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walsh manages to regain half guard. Good work. Mccoy lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Mccoy moves nicely into side control. Mccoy scores with a couple of short elbows. Mccoy is staying tight to Walsh's torso, preventing him from escaping. Mccoy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walsh keeps working. Mccoy taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccoy looks up at the clock and then as Walsh takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mccoy smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Walsh tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mccoy controlling the position. Walsh is looking for a sweep. Mccoy wants to control but Walsh is keeping him busy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Walsh manages to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
LeSean Mccoy dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mccoy doesn't manage to clinch there - Walsh circles away.
Mccoy shoots for a double leg takedown but Walsh sprawls well. He's pushed Mccoy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Walsh lands a nice shot to the body.
Walsh swats away the attempt to clinch by Mccoy. Walsh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Walsh connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mccoy's hands. A jab lands there for Mccoy. Mccoy lands with a slapping head kick. Walsh wants to clinch up but Mccoy keeps it at a distance. Mccoy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mccoy wants to control from the top but Walsh keeps moving. Walsh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mccoy's guard. Mccoy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walsh is controlling him. Walsh must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccoy has control of Walsh's left arm, preventing Walsh from doing any damage. Mccoy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Walsh throwing strikes but missing. Walsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Mccoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mccoy wants to sweep here but Walsh controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walsh has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mccoy is proving hard to escape from.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mccoy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Walsh sprawls well. Walsh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mccoy gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for LeSean Mccoy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Walsh dives in and grabs Mccoy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mccoy pushes down on Walsh's head and hops out. Walsh takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Walsh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mccoy. Mccoy rushes Walsh and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mccoy pulls guard successfully.

Mccoy wants to control but Walsh postures up. Mccoy is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Walsh throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walsh tries to advance to mount but can't. Mccoy tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Mccoy tries to hold on but Walsh postures up. Mccoy wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Walsh.
Walsh landing strikes, looking to finish! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Walsh is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Mccoy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walsh pinned against the cage. Walsh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
LeSean Mccoy dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Walsh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mccoy shoots in and drives through. Walsh sprawls well. Walsh gets a double leg takedown into Mccoy's guard. Mccoy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mccoy keeping full guard, as Walsh tries to pass. Walsh throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Walsh stopping the sweep attempt from Mccoy. Mccoy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Walsh trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Mccoy manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccoy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mccoy slips nicely into half guard. Mccoy content to control rather than advance. Mccoy is looking to take a break and control but Walsh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mccoy looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Mccoy is trying to control. Walsh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mccoy trying to pass the guard but Walsh defending well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of LeSean Mccoy. Mccoy has Walsh up against the cage in a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Walsh shoots in for a takedown but Mccoy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mccoy gets the takedown into side control. Mccoy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walsh keeps working. Walsh is trying to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Walsh's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mccoy grinds an elbow into Walsh's temple. Walsh is not content to let Mccoy control the position. Mccoy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walsh is looking for a sweep. Mccoy throws a strike aimed at the side of Walsh's head but Walsh avoids it well. Walsh is looking to regain half guard here but Mccoy keeps moving and retains side control. Mccoy is trying to get an arm triangle but Walsh is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mccoy trying to control the position but Walsh is working away. LeSean Mccoy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Walsh seems a little lost for a moment, as Mccoy dominates the positioning. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gerald Walsh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
