The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bedell looks to score with a jab to the body but Fleury is just out of range.
Fleury fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bedell moves into the clinch successfully.
Fleury tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bedell is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Fleury takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Bedell is pressed up against the cage. Fleury has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bedell down to the mat. Bedell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Fleury gets caught flat footed, as Bedell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bedell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fleury is proving hard to escape from.
Fleury throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bedell uses it to pass to side control.

and Bedell counters with a shoot takedown. Fleury fights it but they end up in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fleury has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bedell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
