Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marc Andre Fleury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Bedell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marc Andre Fleury! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alan Bedell! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bedell looks to score with a jab to the body but Fleury is just out of range. Fleury fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Bedell moves into the clinch successfully.
Fleury tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bedell jumps guard.
Bedell is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Bedell keeping full guard, as Fleury tries to pass. Fleury will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bedell wants to get back to his feet but Fleury is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bedell wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Fleury passes Bedell's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bedell wants to get back to full guard. Fleury is trying to work for a kimura but Bedell is defending well.

Bedell looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bedell is trying to maintain the position but Fleury is very close to passing his half guard. Fleury is looking to advance position but Bedell won't allow it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bedell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bedell is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Fleury has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bedell jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Fleury manages to avoid the submission attempt. Fleury tries to improve position but can't. Fleury manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Fleury really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fleury is pressing down on Bedell's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bedell stands up from Fleury's guard - Bedell perhaps looking for a knockout. Bedell scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fleury is trying to get back to full guard. Bedell works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bedell raining down shots from the mount! Bedell lands a big elbow. Bedell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Fleury is squirming around, avoiding Bedell's attempts to control the action. Bedell looking to finish Fleury with some ground and pound. This is bad for Fleury! Bedell trying to control but Fleury is having none of it. Fleury is looking to get to half guard. Bedell is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fleury can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bedell is working for a guillotine from mount but Fleury frees his head quite easily.
Fleury is looking to get to half guard. Fleury is working hard here to advance position. A nice elbow there by Bedell. Bedell wants to control the pace but Fleury is squirming around nicely. Bedell has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fleury's face.

Alan Bedell dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Fleury takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Bedell gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fleury.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Bedell is pressed up against the cage. Fleury has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bedell down to the mat. Bedell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Fleury gets caught flat footed, as Bedell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fleury keeping moving, preventing Bedell from controlling successfully. Bedell has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fleury is proving hard to escape from. Fleury throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bedell uses it to pass to side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bedell stands up. Fleury tries for a takedown but Bedell circles away easily and Bedell counters with a shoot takedown. Fleury fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marc Andre Fleury. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fleury working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bedell. Bedell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fleury. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bedell preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bedell trying to control the position from guard on top but Fleury is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bedell not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bedell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fleury swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fleury is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bedell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bedell with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Fleury looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bedell is one step ahead there. Fleury working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bedell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bedell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fleury has his foot on Bedell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bedell works his way back into a safe position though. Fleury escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bedell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bedell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Bedell wants to pass to mount but Fleury is defending the position. Fleury is looking for a sweep. Bedell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fleury moves into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fleury looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Fleury doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bedell counters with a single leg into guard. Fleury didn't expect that. Bedell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fleury swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fleury working for a triangle but Bedell defends it easily.
Bedell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bedell tries to free his leg and advance position but Fleury is retaining full guard. Alan Bedell has got the better of the ground game so far. Bedell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Fleury has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bedell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fleury looking for a triangle here. Bedell is fighting it but it looks tight! Fleury pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Bedell is tapping out - this one is all over!
