Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rashad Banks ! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Banks trying to control from half guard but Patterson is working away. Banks sitting and controlling from the half guard. Patterson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Banks scores with a couple of nice shots. Patterson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Still in half guard, Banks seems content to control. Patterson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Patterson is breathing heavily. Banks lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Banks is controlling the pace.

Banks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. This has been an exciting period of action! Banks working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Patterson's head. Banks controls from within his opponent's guard. Banks working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Patterson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Banks defends it easily. Banks trying to control the position from guard on top but Patterson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Banks lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
