Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mascio Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mascio Dos Santos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Connor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mascio Dos Santos! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Connor looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dos Santos! Connor jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dos Santos is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dos Santos and Connor has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Dos Santos wants to control but Connor postures up. Dos Santos regains half guard. Connor wants to take a breather but Dos Santos is having none of it. Connor prevents Dos Santos from improving his position. Connor is trying to work for a kimura but Dos Santos is defending well.

Dos Santos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Connor is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dos Santos is trying to control but Connor manages to pass to mount!
Connor looking to secure an arm triangle but Dos Santos defends it well. Connor is breathing heavily. Dos Santos is desperately trying to improve his position but Connor has a good base and remains in mount. Dos Santos wants to control but Connor is having none of it. Dos Santos keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Connor landing strikes from the mount. Dos Santos is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dos Santos is squirming around, avoiding Connor's attempts to control the action. Connor has control of Dos Santos's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dos Santos regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Connor thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Dos Santos is wriggling around trying to escape.
Dos Santos is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Connor with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Connor has hold of Dos Santos's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dos Santos manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dos Santos tries to hold on but Connor pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connor throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Dos Santos is looking to improve his position but Connor isn't that keen on the idea. Connor working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Dos Santos is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Connor looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dos Santos wants to control but Connor is having none of it. Connor jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dos Santos manages to avoid the submission attempt. Connor tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Connor lands a decent elbow from side control. Connor scores with punches from side control. Connor lands a nice forearm strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Connor dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Dos Santos. No joy for Connor on that attempt. Connor shoots in and drives through. Dos Santos sprawls well. Dos Santos is looking to clinch. Dos Santos stuffs the takedown attempt from Connor. Connor gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Connor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dos Santos clinches up against the cage. Connor has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dos Santos clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Connor looking for the choke but no joy. Connor not allowing Dos Santos to control his hands. Even with his hooks in, Connor manages to miss with strikes from the back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connor is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Dos Santos has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Dos Santos manages to reverse the position and now he's in Connor's guard. Nice work there by Dos Santos.
Dos Santos is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Connor has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dos Santos is looking to defend but Connor has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dos Santos! Connor pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dos Santos taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Dan Connor!
