Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anton Lewandowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Malloy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malloy has chosen Was It True as his entrance music. Trent Malloy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anton Lewandowski!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trent Malloy!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malloy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lewandowski throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Malloy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Malloy tries a head kick but it misses.
Lewandowski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Malloy manages to avoid it.
Malloy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lewandowski instigates a clinch.
Malloy throws a knee to the head but misses.
Malloy with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Malloy trying to stall but Lewandowski improves his position.
Malloy with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Malloy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lewandowski gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lewandowski is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malloy misses with an elbow strike.
Malloy is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Malloy misses with a knee strike.
Malloy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lewandowski smiles and moves away.

Lewandowski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Malloy manages to avoid it.

so Lewandowski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Lewandowski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Malloy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Lewandowski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lewandowski tries to pass to full mount but Malloy defends it.
Malloy wants to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Lewandowski counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Malloy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Malloy looks gassed!

Malloy pushes Lewandowski off and scrambles back to his feet.

Lewandowski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lewandowski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lewandowski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Anton Lewandowski just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lewandowski scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Lewandowski throws a solid leg kick but Malloy takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Lewandowski.

and Lewandowski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Malloy's guard now.

Lewandowski slips a nice elbow through Malloy's hands, connecting with Malloy's forehead.
Lewandowski takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Lewandowski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lewandowski is working for a kimura but Malloy is defending it quite comfortably.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lewandowski connects with a nice short shot to Malloy's temple.

Lewandowski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lewandowski lands in his opponent's guard.
Malloy wants to stand but Lewandowski is controlling the position.

Lewandowski wants to control from the top but Malloy keeps moving.
Lewandowski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Malloy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lewandowski cracks Malloy with a solid left hand.
Malloy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lewandowski is controlling him.
Lewandowski stays in close to Malloy's body and controls the position.

Lewandowski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Lewandowski cracks Malloy with a solid left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anton Lewandowski dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lewandowski looks to score with a jab to the body but Malloy is just out of range.
Malloy wants to clinch but Lewandowski slips to the side

and Lewandowski counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Malloy!


Malloy is rocked!
A big strike lands for Lewandowski! That's really hurt Malloy and he's turned his back - Lewandowski keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Lewandowski Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anton Lewandowski!
