Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Springs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Durst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durst has chosen Hot Dog as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Springs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Durst! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durst misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Springs connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Springs wants to clinch but Durst slips to the side letting Durst counter with a right hand. Springs swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Durst counters with a series of strikes. Springs will be more careful next time no doubt. Springs throws a nice looking combination but Durst bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Springs throws a right hand that Durst ducks under and follows up with a left that Durst also avoids with ease. Springs misses with a series of wild punches.
Durst throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Springs's waist but Springs gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Durst off to one side. Durst circles away from the clinch attempt.

Springs throws a right hand that Durst ducks under and follows up with a left that Durst also avoids with ease. Springs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Springs misses with a head kick.

Durst shoots in for a takedown but Springs shows good takedown defense. Sam Springs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Durst. Durst closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Springs did well to prevent Durst getting side control. Durst is trying to control the action in half guard but Springs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Springs taking some punishment here, with Durst in his half guard. Durst thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Durst throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Springs trying to control from the bottom.
Springs wants to stand back up but Durst manages to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Springs bucks up and tries to throw Durst off but instead Durst has got his back! Springs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Durst on the ground. Durst lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Springs hold on?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Springs is trying to break free.

Durst has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Springs has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durst loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Springs hold on?
Durst throwing sloppy strikes. Springs holding both Durst 's hands and preventing any damage. Durst struggling to keep hold of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Springs tries to roll but Durst sticks to his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Durst scores with punches to the body. Springs takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Springs trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. This has been an exciting period of action! Durst scores with punches from the back.
Springs is taking damage to the body and head. Oh Springs is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Durst trying to control. Springs seems to have got his legs back now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Durst lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Durst softening up his opponent with strikes here.

Springs throws an overhand right that lands on Durst's shoulder, as Durst tries to avoid the shot. Springs pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Durst dodges the punch combination from Springs.
Durst has a takedown stuffed. A combination from Springs does no damage. Springs misses with a wild combination.

Springs misses with a takedown attempt - Durst sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Good work by Durst as he checks the leg kick. A punch combination from Springs misses. Springs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Springs throws a low kick but it's checked well by Durst. Durst closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Springs quickly recovers to half guard. Durst lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Durst takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Durst not doing much here.
Springs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Springs tries to get out of the position. Nice strikes from Durst there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durst working the head and body with strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Durst throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Springs is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Durst scores with a couple of nice shots. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Springs is staying active underneath Durst, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Springs has hold of Durst's hands but Durst slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Durst is looking for a kimura but Springs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Durst to get the leverage. Durst passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durst landing shots from mount. Springs trying desperately to get to his feet.
Springs is squirming around, avoiding Durst's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Durst lands with some strikes. Durst lands a big elbow. Durst breaks from Springs's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Durst loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Springs scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Durst land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Durst stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fred Durst! A very excited looking Fred Durst made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
