PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caleb Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whitey Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foster comes to the cage accompanied by Lynyrd Skynrd - Sweet Home Alabama. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caleb Foster!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Whitey Marsh !
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Marsh throws out the jab.
Foster tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Marsh doesn't manage to clinch there - Foster circles away.
Marsh shoots in but Foster avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Foster ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Marsh throws a hook to the side of Foster's head but Foster sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Marsh tries to clinch but Foster is having none of it.

Foster rushes Marsh and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Foster scores with a nice short uppercut.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Foster.
Foster lands a left hand.

Foster has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Marsh clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Foster is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Marsh has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marsh rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Foster is nestled in close to Marsh , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Marsh is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Foster is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Foster lands strikes from half guard.

Marsh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Foster pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foster lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Foster is trying to work for a kimura but Marsh is defending well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Foster is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Foster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Marsh is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Foster scores with a couple of nice shots.

Foster winds up and cracks Marsh with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Marsh is still in real trouble! Can Foster finish him?

Foster is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Marsh defends it well.

Foster lands a big elbow - Marsh is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Foster!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Caleb Foster!
Caleb Foster is the new light heavyweight champion!
Caleb Foster very nearly forgot to thank New World Order Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
