Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, New Dalton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Caron!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalton tries to clinch there but Caron circles away.
Caron circles away from the clinch attempt.

Caron closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Dalton throws an elbow but misses.
Caron is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Dalton is defending well.
Dalton has had enough of the clinch but Caron keeps him there for the moment.
Dalton gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Caron.

A battle for position here, against the cage.
Dalton is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Caron is keeping busy.
Caron should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Dalton wants to break the clinch but can't.
Caron keeps control of Dalton as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Caron stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Dalton is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Caron gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Dalton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dalton misses with a wild combination.

Caron clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dalton working hard to break the clinch.
Caron softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Caron keeps control of Dalton as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dalton is looking to break free of the clinch but Caron has double underhooks.
Dalton can't find room to land a body shot as Caron controls the action.

Caron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dalton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Caron paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dalton tries to clinch but Caron moves out of range.
Caron slips a straight right by Dalton.
Caron takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Caron wants to clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Caron clinches up with Dalton and pushes him back against the cage.
Caron fails to pull guard.
New Dalton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Caron.
Caron lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Caron breaks the clinch.
Dalton tries to bum rush Caron with a series of wild strikes but Caron uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dalton tries to clinch there but Caron circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Caron avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dalton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Caron tries to clinch there but Dalton circles away.
Dalton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dalton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Caron moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Caron scores with a nice head shot.
Caron uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dalton.

Caron clinches.
Dalton wants to break free but Caron has control.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Caron.
Caron tries to throw a body punch but Dalton avoids it by throwing Caron back against the cage.
Dalton wants to get back to striking at distance but Caron won't allow it.
A nice left hand lands by Caron.
Dalton misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Caron lands with a short shot to the head.
Dalton is breathing heavily.
Caron misses with a punch on the inside.
Caron lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Caron has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dalton after a bit of a struggle.

Caron manages to pull guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Caron throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Dalton has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dalton postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Caron is on top in guard.
Caron throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dalton works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Caron throws an elbow that misses. Dalton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Caron's guard. Nice move by Dalton!

Caron has his feet on Dalton's thighs here. He's pushed Dalton off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Dalton screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
