Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Tavares!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares misses with a looping right.
Dio avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tavares takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Thiago Tavares has been cut.
Dio looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Tavares misses with a left hand
and Dio counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dio throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dio really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tavares throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Tavares throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tavares moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Dio scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Tavares misses with a body kick.
Tavares throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tavares ducks under a wild hook from Dio.
Tavares swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tavares scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Dio throws a lazy body kick
and Tavares counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Tavares walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dio drops Tavares with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tavares looks back up at him and smiles so Dio waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Tavares is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tavares glances at the clock... BAM! Dio nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Tavares crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Tavares is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Zack Dio!
An out of breath Zack Dio thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
