The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Savage fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grace, pushing him back against the cage.
Savage tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Grace avoids it.
Grace fails to pull guard.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Savage.
Savage misses with some punches.
A short uppercut from Savage.
Grace is looking to control Savage's arms but Savage gets an underhook and turns him. Now Grace has his back to the cage.
Savage lands a shot to the body.
Savage slowing the pace effectively.
Savage lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Savage prevents a body shot from Grace.
Savage taking a breather.
Grace is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Savage to keep the fight standing.
Grace fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Grace tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Savage smiles and moves away.

Savage rushes Grace and presses him up against the cage.
Savage pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Savage gets through Grace's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Grace drops down looking for an ankle pick but Savage pulls his leg out and moves away.

Grace gets tackled into the cage by Savage. Savage maintains the clinch.

Grace tries to pull guard but Savage won't allow it.
Savage pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Savage is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Grace jumps guard but Savage turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Savage pushes off an throws an elbow but Grace leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Savage lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Savage throws an elbow but misses.
Grace is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Savage gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Grace jumps guard and drags Savage to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Grace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Savage gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Savage is posturing up here but Grace has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Savage tries to roll out but it's too tight and Savage has to tap! Slick submission there by Grace!
