Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Hecker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Hecker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dante Harris!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hecker is defended easily by Harris.
Harris shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hecker as he avoids it easily.
Harris fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hecker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The strikes coming from Hecker are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Harris manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Hecker thows a huge punch but Harris dodges it nicely.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hecker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Hecker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Harris tries to avoid it but Hecker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Harris to the ground. Harris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Harris is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Hecker is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hecker extends the arm and Harris is forced to tap!
