Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Filipo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Go Hasegawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hasegawa tries for a takedown but Filipo circles away easily and Filipo counters with a two punch combo. Nice sprawl there from Filipo as Hasegawa shoots in. Filipo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Filipo wants it to stay on the feet. Sam Filipo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Go Hasegawa. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hasegawa is defended easily by Filipo. Filipo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Filipo wants to control from the top but Hasegawa keeps moving. Hasegawa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Filipo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hasegawa working for a triangle but Filipo defends it easily.
Filipo stands and steps away. Hasegawa gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Filipo lands with a nice body punch. A momentary lapse in concentration from Filipo enables Hasegawa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Filipo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Filipo keeping full guard, as Hasegawa tries to pass. Filipo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hasegawa drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hasegawa seems to have locked his on tight now - Filipo screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hasegawa, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Go Hasegawa! Go Hasegawa seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
