Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fantinaz Del Norte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Kawasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Del Norte kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is La Coka Nostra - Malverde Market. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Fantinaz Del Norte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Kawasaki!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Del Norte tries to clinch up.
Kawasaki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Del Norte's waist but Del Norte gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kawasaki off to one side.
Del Norte lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kawasaki gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Del Norte counters with a low kick, right behind Kawasaki 's knee.

Kawasaki closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Del Norte's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kawasaki works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kawasaki is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Del Norte doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kawasaki.

Del Norte throws a strike from the bottom but Kawasaki passes into side control!

Kawasaki tries for a kimura but Del Norte is defending well.
Del Norte wants to get back to his feet but Kawasaki drags him back down.
Del Norte tries to improve position but can't.
Kawasaki looks up at the clock and then as Del Norte takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kawasaki smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Del Norte tries to buck Kawasaki off but Kawasaki is having none of it.
Del Norte is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kawasaki is controlling him well.

Kawasaki has hold of Del Norte's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Del Norte tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kawasaki cranks the arm and Del Norte screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Del Norte, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Lee Kawasaki!
