Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Socrates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Troy Lancaster is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wilson Socrates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Troy Lancaster! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Socrates defending well as Lancaster loads up on a big left hand. Troy Lancaster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Socrates stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Socrates wants it to stay on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lancaster. Socrates gets caught napping as Lancaster dives in and scores a takedown. Socrates manages to retain guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Lancaster looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Socrates is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lancaster content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Socrates keeping moving, preventing Lancaster from controlling successfully. Lancaster makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lancaster throws a strike but Socrates rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lancaster seems keen to control Socrates's posture. Lancaster throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Lancaster tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lancaster manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lancaster lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lancaster putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lancaster postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Socrates looks a forlorn figure.
Socrates is rocked! Lancaster unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Socrates wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Lancaster celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Troy Lancaster!
