Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allister Fiend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allister Fiend will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Gunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Allister Fiend! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fiend is looking to clinch. Gunn closes the distance and clinches. Gunn is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gunn on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Gunn drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gunn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fiend fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Gunn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fiend wants to clinch. Fiend is looking to clinch. Gunn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gunn lands in his opponent's guard. Gunn tries to free his leg and advance position but Fiend is retaining full guard. Gunn stopping the sweep attempt from Fiend. Fiend is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fiend dives on top into guard. Fiend wants to control from the top but Gunn keeps moving. Gunn had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fiend is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gunn Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fiend's back instead. Gunn is not going to allow Fiend to sit and survive in this position. Fiend is trying to get back to his feet but Gunn has full control of the position and if anything, Fiend has just worked his way into a worse spot. Gunn not allowing Fiend to control his hands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fiend is trying to get back to his feet but Gunn has full control of the position and if anything, Fiend has just worked his way into a worse spot. Fiend defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Gunn's arms. Fiend tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gunn is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fiend has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fiend! Fiend wants to pass the guard but Gunn is keeping the position. Gunn wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fiend is pushing down on Gunn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gunn is fighting to maintain full guard but Fiend has managed to sneak the leg through. Fiend seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gunn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gunn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fiend performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Gunn tries to roll over but Fiend keeps him under control. Gunn slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gunn is breathing heavily. Fiend trying to control the position from guard on top but Gunn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gunn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Fiend actively working from the bottom here. Gunn wants to advance to full mount but Fiend doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Fiend is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fiend lands a decent shot there. Fiend is trying to keep Gunn in close.
Fiend wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Gunn dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Gunn cracks Fiend with an open hand slap. Fiend shoots in for a takedown but Gunn shows good takedown defense. Gunn doesn't manage to clinch there - Fiend circles away.
Tommy Gunn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gunn has his takedown stuffed and Fiend counters with a right hand to the body. Fiend stuffs the takedown. Fiend changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gunn tries to avoid it but Fiend manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gunn to the ground. Gunn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fighters circling - Gunn throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Fiend tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gunn paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gunn takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gunn misses with a takedown and Fiend counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Gunn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Still in the clinch, Gunn scores with a nice short uppercut. Gunn has Fiend pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gunn pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fiend tumbling to the mat - Gunn dives into Fiend's guard. Fiend not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fiend wants to get back to his feet but Gunn is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fiend lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gunn! Fiend in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Gunn tries to improve his position but instead Fiend has taken his back! Fiend trying to control momentarily.
Gunn trying to control the hands but Fiend breaks the grip. Fiend controlling well, preventing Gunn from escaping the position.
Gunn breaks Fiend's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Fiend closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fiend trying to control the action but Gunn is working from the bottom. Gunn is trying to get back to half guard. Fiend lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Fiend gets to mount! Gunn was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Fiend can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gunn is looking to escape. Gunn slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunn wants to improve his position but Fiend is controlling well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gunn manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Fiend must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gunn had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fiend is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tommy Gunn dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Gunn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fiend holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Fiend prevents the takedown attempt.

Fiend is trying to break free. Gunn has Fiend pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fiend manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Fiend is looking to control Gunn's arms but Gunn gets an underhook and turns him. Now Fiend has his back to the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Fiend manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Fiend looking to control.

He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gunn off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Fiend rushes Gunn and presses him up against the cage. Gunn wants a takedown but no success here.
Fiend has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gunn uses from the top position. Gunn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fiend is keeping the position for now. Gunn is working hard here to advance position. Gunn trying to control but Fiend is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fiend is trying to control the position but Gunn postures up. Fiend keeping full guard, as Gunn tries to pass. Gunn has gone for a leg lock! Fiend slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gunn's guard. Fiend tries to free his leg and advance position but Gunn is retaining full guard. Gunn trying to control the position.
Fiend stands up and waves to Gunn to follow him. Gunn doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fiend counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunn fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fiend fails in his attempt to clinch. Fiend tries to clinch but Gunn moves away and Gunn counters with a shoot takedown. Fiend fights it but they end up in guard. Gunn prevents Fiend from getting back to his feet. Fiend tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gunn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fiend keeping moving, preventing Gunn from controlling successfully. Fiend is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gunn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fiend is working the butterfly guard. Gunn wants to get back to full guard but Fiend has mounted him! Gunn tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tommy Gunn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gunn tries to hold on but Fiend pushes him away. Allister Fiend has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tommy Gunn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fiend raining down shots from the mount!
And that's the end of the fight! Allister Fiend comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gunn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
