The crowd seem to be enjoying Terrier's choice of entrance music: Closer - Nine Inch Nales. Bull Terrier has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bull Terrier! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McNamara misses with a body shot.
Terrier throws a jab when McNamara was well out of range. Terrier scores with the left hand. McNamara knows he should have avoided that one. McNamara looks to score with a jab to the body but Terrier is just out of range. Terrier misses with a two punch combination.
McNamara takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Terrier ducks under a wild hook from McNamara. Terrier lands a nice shot to the body.
Terrier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McNamara moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice defenses there by Terrier. Terrier walks into a jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McNamara throws a jab but it's blocked by Terrier. Terrier is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
McNamara misses with a straight right. McNamara misses with a looping left. Terrier scores with a nice head shot. McNamara misses the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNamara connects with a single shot there. McNamara misses with a body shot.
John McNamara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Terrier connects with a body shot that sends McNamara's belly button to the back. McNamara takes a swing at Terrier's ribcage but misses. McNamara pushing out the jab but it's not landing. McNamara misses with a hook. McNamara staying out of range there. Terrier misses the shot to the body. A combination from Terrier does no damage. McNamara misses with an uppercut. McNamara throws a poor cross that misses

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Terrier on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Terrier is rocked! Terrier ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Terrier is still on wobbly legs! Can McNamara finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Terrier, as that shot connected.
Terrier seems to have recovered his senses. Oooooh!!! Terrier has knocked McNamara down with a huge combo! Terrier steps away and waves a wobbly McNamara back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
McNamara is rocked! McNamara throws a jab but it's blocked by Terrier. Oh McNamara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Terrier with a hook. Terrier jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Terrier fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McNamara manages to avoid it. Terrier lands a nice hook to McNamara's body. McNamara takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Terrier cracks McNamara with a good jab. McNamara has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McNamara there as he acknowledges the shot. Terrier scores with a jab to the body. McNamara misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Terrier.

Terrier feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McNamaras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Terrier throws a good cross that connects.

and Terrier counters with a nice body shot. Terrier cracks a nice hook into McNamara's ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terrier uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McNamara. McNamara seems to have got his legs back now. McNamara lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Terrier throws a series of punches but McNamara avoids them all with ease. Terrier showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McNamara.
Terrier lands a left and a right that send McNamara crashing to the mat, dazed. Terrier thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Terrier swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McNamara misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A looping hook to the body misses from McNamara. Terrier does a little dance to reset his feet. McNamara throws a lazy uppercut
and Terrier counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McNamara on the wrong end of a nice hook. Terrier ducks under a wild hook from McNamara. Terrier throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McNamara stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Terrier misses with a body shot.
Terrier uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McNamara.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McNamara lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Terrier circles away quickly and effectively. Terrier's corner calls for a 1-2. Terrier obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Terrier looks to score with a jab to the body but McNamara is just out of range. McNamara avoids the body shot from Terrier.
Terrier keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McNamara. Terrier keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McNamara darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Terrier misses with a series of wild punches.

McNamara had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. McNamara avoids a lazy jab quite easily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McNamara pounces like a tiger and cracks Terrier with a vicious hook! Terrier is down but not out! McNamara follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). John McNamara! During a confident post fight interview, John McNamara thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
