Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lath Hoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randjob Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoy comes into the arena with Go Ninja-Vanilla Ice blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Lath Hoy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randjob Gracie! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut lands for Hoy. That snapped Gracie's head back.
Hoy scores with a hook to the body. Gracie takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A punch lands to the side of Gracie 's head but he takes it in his stride. Hoy slips a jab and a cross from Gracie.
The crowd cheers as Hoy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gracie doesn't seem phased though. Gracie misses with a wild combination.
Gracie defending well as Hoy loads up on a big left hand. Hoy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Hoy stuns Gracie with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lath Hoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hoy. Hoy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hoy digs a good body shot into Gracie's ribs. This has been an exciting period of action! Hoy lands an overhand right. Gracie takes one to the chin there. Hoy lands the left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoy ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Gracie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gracie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hoy moves away. Hoy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Hoy stuns Gracie with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Gracie pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hoy thows a body shot but no joy. Hoy looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well. Gracie takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Gracie takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hoy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hoy drives through with a takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hoy postures up in Gracie's guard and throws a big left but Gracie blocks it. Hoy works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie actively working from the bottom here. Hoy sitting and controlling from the half guard. Hoy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gracie sees it coming and defends easily. Hoy is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hoy is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer. Gracie looking for a kimura from the bottom but Hoy passes into side control! Gracie is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoy wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Hoy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hoy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hoy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hoy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hoy lands a nice forearm strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking to regain half guard here but Hoy keeps moving and retains side control. Hoy swings around for an armbar but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hoy's guard. Hoy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hoy looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Gracie has picked Hoy up and slammed him! Hoy can't keep hold of the triangle and Gracie manages to pass to side control! Hoy tries to improve position but can't. Gracie tries to move to mount but Hoy blocks the move with his legs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hoy tries to bench press Gracie off him but Gracie keeps the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lath Hoy dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hoy looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range. Gracie takes a shot to the body in his stride.

It looks like Lath Hoy has been cut. Hoy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gracies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A looping hook to the body misses from Hoy. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet. A punch lands to the side of Gracie 's head but he takes it in his stride. Gracie misses with a double jab
and Hoy counters with a stiff right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hoy gets a takedown into half guard. Hoy is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hoy is working for a kimura here but Gracie manages to reverse the position and he's now in Hoy's guard.
Gracie throws a big elbow that misses. Hoy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoy throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gracie uses it to pass to side control.
Gracie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gracie trying to control the action but Hoy is working from the bottom. Gracie tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Gracie cracks Hoy with a big right hand but Hoy just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoy tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it. Hoy manages to get back to half guard. Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Hoy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hoy actively working from the bottom here. Gracie prevents Hoy from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoy moves into full guard.
Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hoy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Hoy in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoy stays in close to Gracie's body and controls the position. Hoy wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Hoy preventing the sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hoy is pushing down on Gracie's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gracie is fighting to maintain full guard but Hoy has managed to sneak the leg through. Hoy is working for a kimura but Gracie is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lath Hoy will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Lath Hoy's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Gracie lunges at Hoy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hoy's hand. Hoy misses with a straight right. Gracie shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hoy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gracie did well to prevent Hoy getting side control. Hoy seems to be working for a kimura but Gracie defends the submission attempt. Hoy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gracie is just riding it out for now. Hoy eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gracie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hoy. Hoy is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Gracie as he works his way to full guard.
Hoy wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Hoy defends easily.

Gracie won't allow Hoy to sweep him here. Hoy seems keen to control Gracie's posture. Gracie stopping the sweep attempt from Hoy. Hoy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well. Randjob Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hoy looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Gracie passes into half guard.
Hoy gets back to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hoy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Lath Hoy showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hoy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
