Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eduard Melkonyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba McFly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McFly has chosen Metallica - All Nightmare Long as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFly defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Melkonyan.
McFly swings for the body but Melkonyan moves out of range.
Melkonyan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Melkonyan showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
McFly trying to control here.
McFly is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Melkonyan is staying active.
Melkonyan tries to pass the half guard into mount. McFly knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Melkonyan with the ground and pound but McFly uses the opportunity to regain guard.

McFly is pulling down on Melkonyan's head to control his posture.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Melkonyan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Melkonyan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McFly throws an off balance right hand
and Melkonyan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McFly thinking.
McFly stuffs the takedown attempt from Melkonyan. Melkonyan gets slowly back to his feet.

Melkonyan has his takedown stuffed
enabling McFly to counter with a crisp jab.
McFly thuds his right hand into Melkonyan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nice defenses there by McFly.
McFly scoring well with a low kick there.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Melkonyan checks a leg kick.
Melkonyan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McFly.
Melkonyan closes this distance looking for a takedown but McFly circles away.
Melkonyan misses with a hook. McFly ducked under it nicely.

Melkonyan tries for a takedown but McFly sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
McFly ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Melkonyan getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Melkonyan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McFly but McFly pushes him off and we're back to square one.
McFly displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Melkonyan throws out the jab.
McFly moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
McFly ducks under a wild hook from Melkonyan.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A decent looking body kick lands there for McFly.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McFly fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eduard Melkonyan dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Melkonyan shoots and misses
and McFly counters with a nice body kick.
Melkonyan shoots in and bounces McFly off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Melkonyan throwing strikes but missing.
Melkonyan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McFly swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McFly controls Melkonyan momentarily but Melkonyan frees himself.
Melkonyan is looking to advance position but McFly has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Melkonyan is working to get back to half guard.
McFly scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Melkonyan?

Melkonyan is desperately trying to improve his position but McFly has a good base and remains in mount.
The referee warns Melkonyan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McFly working away from the top, dropping strikes.
McFly lands a heavy elbow.
McFly looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Melkonyan covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
