Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Hecker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Hecker! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hecker drives through with a takedown into Carter's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Carter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carter is trying to control the position but Hecker postures up. Hecker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carter works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hecker tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard. Carter keeping moving, preventing Hecker from controlling successfully. Hecker is looking to work some ground and pound but Carter has wrist control. Carter can't keep his opponent in guard - Hecker advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hecker is looking to advance position but Carter won't allow it. Carter tries to get to full guard but Hecker has control of the leg. Carter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Carter is doing well to control the position and prevent Hecker from advancing to side control. Hecker is thwarting Carter's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hecker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hecker lands with a punch from half guard. Carter regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Hecker. Carter wants to stand and escape but Hecker is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hecker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hecker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hecker tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hecker throws a big right hand that misses. Hecker throws a strike but Carter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hecker keeping moving, preventing Carter from controlling successfully. Carter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hecker is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hecker wants to stand and escape but Carter is having none of it. Carter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Carter passes into half guard. Carter wants to free his trapped foot but Hecker is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hecker pushes Carter off looking to stand but Carter dives back in and keeps control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hecker tries to kick Carter off in order to stand up. Carter Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Hecker gets back to half guard. Hecker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hecker wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hecker wants to stand back up but Carter manages to pass into side control.
Hecker tries to escape but Carter is in control. Carter has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Horrible takedown by Hecker or perhaps it was just good defense by Carter which made him look bad. Carter moves into range and clinches up with Hecker. Hecker tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hecker tries to pull guard but Carter holds him up against the cage and eventually Hecker drops back down to his feet.
Michael Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Hecker. Hecker looks winded! Carter tries to stall but Hecker uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hecker goes for a takedown attempt but Carter pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
No luck for Hecker with that takedown attempt. Carter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hecker. Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hecker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Hecker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hecker shoots in for a takedown but Carter shows good takedown defense. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Hecker dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Carter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carter tries to circle away but Hecker has him pinned against the cage. Carter wants a takedown.
Hecker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hecker tries for a takedown but Carter circles away easily and Hecker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Carter gets caught flat footed, as Hecker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Carter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hecker trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hecker prevents Carter from getting back to his feet. Carter looking for a guillotine here but Hecker defends easily.
Carter has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Carter has momentary wrist control but Hecker slips an elbow through the middle. Hecker content to stall in guard here. Carter is looking for a triangle but Hecker pushes his legs off easily.
Hecker throws a strike but Carter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jeff Hecker has got the better of the ground game so far. Hecker manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hecker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hecker dives in and grabs Carter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes down on Hecker's head and hops out. Michael Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Hecker. Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hecker's waist but Hecker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side. Hecker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Carter's head backwards. Hecker shoots in looking for a takedown but Carter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hecker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hecker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carter defends it nicely. Carter leaves Hecker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hecker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Carter is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hecker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hecker slips a nice elbow through Carter's hands, connecting with Carter's forehead. Hecker prevents Carter from improving his position. Carter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Hecker drops an elbow to the side of Carter's head. Hecker is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Carter gets back to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hecker throws a big elbow that misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hecker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Carter wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Hecker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Hecker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hecker won't allow Carter to sweep him here. Hecker lands a couple of decent looking shots. Carter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Carter is trying to control the position but Hecker postures up. Hecker lands a couple of elbows. Hecker wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving. Hecker wants to pass the guard but Carter is keeping the position. Carter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Carter is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hecker throws a big elbow that misses. Hecker postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hecker looking to pass the guard. Carter scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Michael Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hecker looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hecker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carter is keeping the position for now. Hecker throws a big right hand that misses. Carter is trying to control the position but Hecker postures up. Hecker throwing strikes from guard but Carter blocks nicely. Hecker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hecker content to stall in guard here. Carter is pulling down on Hecker's head to control his posture.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hecker dives in and grabs Carter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes down on Hecker's head and hops out. Hecker gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hecker pushes Carter off and gets back to his feet.
Hecker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Carter napping and manages to drive through into side control! Carter struggling a bit here. Hecker is trying to ground and pound but Carter uses the momentary lack of control by Hecker to regain half guard. Hecker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hecker. Hecker throwing shots but Carter is blocking nicely. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hecker throwing shots but Carter is blocking nicely. Hecker prevents Carter from improving his position. Hecker content to control rather than advance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hecker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeff Hecker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hecker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
