The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson thows a body shot but no joy.
Kormov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dawson pinned against the cage. Dawson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kormov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dawson circles away.
Dawson avoids a kick to the body.
Dawson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kormov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown by Kormov or perhaps it was just good defense by Dawson which made him look bad.
Dudley Dawson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danila Kormov.
Kormov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dawson but Dawson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kormov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Dawson wants to get back to full guard.
Dawson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dawson.
Dawson is breathing heavily.
Dawson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kormov rolls with it to try and escape but Dawson cranks on the arm and Kormov is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
