Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cody Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant comes into the arena with Alice in Chains - Rooster blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Buck Blaze enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cody Grant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buck Blaze!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Grant at a distance.
Blaze scoring well with a low kick there.
A low kick from Blaze misses
and Grant counters with a straight right hand.
Blaze blocks a leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Grant rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Blaze moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Blaze tries a low kick but Grant avoids it.
Blaze closes this distance looking for a takedown but Grant circles away.
Grant throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Blaze takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Blaze misses with a few strikes there.

Blaze shoots in and bounces Grant off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Blaze looking to sit in guard and control but Grant gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Blaze looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Grant tries to free his leg and advance position but Blaze is retaining full guard.
Grant might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Grant is stalling in the full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Cody Grant wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Grant throws a lazy right hand but Blaze sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Blaze fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grant manages to avoid it.
Grant swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Blaze.
Blaze lands with a nice body punch.
Blaze thows a left - swing and a miss!

Blaze throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Grant tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Blaze is in Grant's guard.
Grant preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Blaze postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Grant is on top in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cody Grant wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Grant drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Blaze digs a good body shot into Grant's ribs.
Cody Grant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blaze is defended easily by Grant.
Cody Grant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buck Blaze.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A clash of legs there as Grant blocks the low kick.
Grant tries to land a front kick but Blaze steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Grant misses with a two punch combination.
Blaze wants to land a leg kick but Grant is out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Grant closes the distance and clinches.
Blaze lands a left hand that snaps the head of Grant backwards.
Grant tries to land a knee to the head but Blaze blocks with his arms.
Blaze dodges an elbow strike from Grant.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buck Blaze dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Grant checks a leg kick.
Blaze lands a really nice looking cross but Grant seems unphased.

It looks like Cody Grant has been cut.

Blaze drops Grant with a left right combo! Blaze follows him down to the ground into side control.

Grant is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Blaze lands a strong strike to the head of Grant. That's dazed him! Blaze looking to finish here. Grant is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Blaze lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Buck Blaze!
After the fight, Buck Blaze was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
