Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edward Gamer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dennis Oppelaar! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Oppelaar with that takedown attempt. Gamer chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gamer stuffs the takedown attempt from Oppelaar. Oppelaar gets slowly back to his feet. Oppelaar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gamer swivels and escapes. Edward Gamer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Oppelaar. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Oppelaar. Oppelaar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gamer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gamer ducks under a wild hook from Oppelaar. Oppelaar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oppelaar misses with a wild combination.
Dennis Oppelaar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Oppelaar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gamer as he avoids it easily. Oppelaar misses with a takedown attempt - Gamer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oppelaar shoots for a double leg takedown but Gamer sprawls well. He's pushed Oppelaar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Oppelaar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Oppelaar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Oppelaar shoots in looking for a takedown. Gamer tries to sprawl out of it but Oppelaar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gamer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nice sprawl there from Gamer as Oppelaar shoots in. Oppelaar looks winded! Oppelaar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gamer counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Oppelaar! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Gamer!
