Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Geronimo Froila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Froila comes to the cage accompanied by Quiero fumar mota. Clay has chosen Boom as his entrance music. Jordan Clay will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Geronimo Froila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jordan Clay!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Froila shoots in and drives through. Clay sprawls well.
Froila looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Clay fails to land the takedown.
Froila tries for a takedown but Clay circles away easily

and Clay counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Clay content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Froila is trying to keep Clay in close.
Clay wanted to stand there but Froila had control of the position.
Clay controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Clay wants to pass the guard but Froila is keeping the position.
Froila can't keep his opponent in guard - Clay advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Clay content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Clay is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Froila doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Clay.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Clay tries to stand and escape but Froila is controlling the position.
Clay wants to pass the guard but Froila is defending well.
Froila is pressing down on Clay's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Clay trying to control the position from guard on top but Froila is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Clay not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Clay slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Froila being controlled for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Clay stands up.

Clay gets a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan Clay dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Froila doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Clay counters with a takedown into side control.
Clay tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Clay throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Clay taking a breather here.
Clay is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Froila takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Clay decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Clay looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Clay slows the pace down in half guard.
Froila trying to control from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clay is looking to stall here but Froila recovers full guard.
Clay pushing down on Froila's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Jordan Clay has got the better of the ground game so far.

Clay is looking for a kimura but Froila is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Clay to get the leverage.
Froila is staying active underneath Clay, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Clay is working for a submission of some sort.
Well, if Clay is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Froila wants to control but Clay is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clay controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jordan Clay just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Clay feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Clay lands a couple of elbows.
Clay looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Clay is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan Clay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Clay tries for a takedown but Froila sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Froila fails with the takedown

and Clay counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Clay throws a big right hand that misses.
Clay advances position into side control!

Clay scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Froila to see if he's OK.

Froila is not content to let Clay control the position.

Clay decides to stand back up.
Clay has his takedown stuffed

and Froila decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Clay's guard.
Clay looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Froila puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Clay looking to hit a scissor sweep but Froila is one step ahead there.

Clay has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Clay wants to sweep here but Froila controlling him for the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Clay had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Froila is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Clay Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Froila's back instead.
Clay throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Froila!
Froila prevents Clay from getting a body triangle.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Clay looking for the choke from the back.
Geronimo Froila has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Clay has good solid back control here.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jordan Clay comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Clay winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
