Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heyward Bey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Heyward Bey! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson takes the fight into the clinch. Bey breaks from the clinch.
Bey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bey is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bey with the ground and pound but Jackson uses the opportunity to regain guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson is trying to keep Bey in close.
Bey tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard. Jackson trying to control the position.
Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jackson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jackson tries to stand and escape but Bey is controlling the position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bey pushes Jackson off but Jackson dives into side control.
Jackson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bey is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bey tries to buck Jackson off but Jackson is having none of it. Bey is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bey is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bey is trying to stand up here but Jackson is controlling him well. Bey wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy.
Bey is refusing to be controlled, as Jackson sits in half guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jackson throws a right and a left that Bey avoids nicely. Bey throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jackson is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bey tries to improve position but can't. Jackson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Jackson trying to control the position but Bey is working away. Jackson stands up and beckons Bey to his feet. Bey looks to clinch and Jackson counters with a thumping low kick. Jackson shoots in and bounces Bey off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bey keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bey manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jackson sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Jackson is pressing down on Bey's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jackson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Jackson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bey throwing strikes from guard but Jackson blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Jackson dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jackson instigates a clinch. Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jackson fails with the takedown. Bey tries for a takedown but Jackson circles away easily so Jackson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Bey is working an open guard so Jackson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jackson throws a right hand that Bey ducks under and follows up with a left that Bey also avoids with ease. Jackson gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson content to control rather than advance. Bey is breathing heavily. Bey is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Jackson gets the takedown into side control. Bey is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jackson has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bey is trying to improve his position. Jackson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Bey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side. Bey lands with a right that hurts Jackson. Jackson looks to clinch but Bey throws a short knee that drops Jackson. This one is all over!
