And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kai Denton!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denton closes the distance but Curry moves to the side

and Curry counters with a single leg into guard. Denton didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Curry slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Denton is on top in guard.
Curry manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Denton manages to get himself to full guard.
Denton looking to control but Curry passes into half guard.
Curry takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Curry is trying to work for a kimura but Denton is defending well.
Curry tries to stand but can't do so whilst Denton controls his leg.
Curry slows the pace down in half guard.

Denton has hold of Curry's hands but Curry slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Peter Curry wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Denton closes the distance and clinches.

Curry manages to pull guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Curry is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Denton moves in looking to clinch but Curry pushes him off.
Denton looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Curry moves out of range of the body kick.
Curry throws a head kick that misses.

Curry changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Denton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Denton is letting Curry control him for a moment.
Curry is looking to take a break and control but Denton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Curry working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Curry goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Denton has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Curry but great work by Denton.

Denton is thwarting Curry's attempts to control the position.
Curry is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Denton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Denton's back!
Peter Curry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Curry is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Denton has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Curry pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Curry closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Denton quickly recovers to half guard.

Curry is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Denton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Denton is looking to get back to is feet but Curry passes into side control.
Curry is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Denton will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Curry is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Denton has escaped the position, nice work there.

Curry grinds an elbow into Denton's temple.
A lull in the action here.
Denton struggling a bit here.
Denton tries to bench press Curry off him but Curry keeps the position.

Curry in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Curry is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Denton knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Curry tries to stand but Denton is controlling his head.
