The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phok tries for a takedown but Brownson circles away easily
so Brownson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Brownson stands and throws Phok's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Brownson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Phok will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Phok is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brownson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brownson connects with a nice short shot to Phok's temple.
