The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rojo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chono but Chono pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Chono shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Chono wants to free his trapped foot but Rojo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Chono is trying to control. Rojo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Chono throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Rojo to regain full guard.
Chono keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rojo's head.

Chono avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chono trying to control but Rojo is working from the bottom.
Chono wants to stand but Rojo is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rojo has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Chono doesn't defend quickly enough and Rojo has managed to lock this one up! Can Chono escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Rojo on a fantastic submission victory.
