PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Capo Tunis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylvia Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tunis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sub. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tunis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tunis tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Silva is able to avoid easily.

Tunis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Tunis throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Silva to regain full guard.
Tunis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Tunis has his hands clasped together but Silva extends an breaks Tunis's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Silva.
