Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adelberry Gunderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perkins's entrance music is Walk - Pantera. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Perkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adelberry Gunderson!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkins goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Perkins closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gunderson quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Perkins looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gunderson moves into full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perkins lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Perkins controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Perkins is fighting to break Gunderson's control of his arms but Gunderson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Gunderson is looking for a triangle but Perkins pushes his legs off easily.
Gunderson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perkins is controlling an arm, preventing Gunderson from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Perkins is working to get back to half guard.
Perkins gets back to half guard.
Perkins is trying to get back to full guard.
Still in half guard, Gunderson seems content to control.
Gunderson moves into full mount! Perkins won't be happy about that!
Perkins is wriggling around trying to escape.
Perkins is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Perkins is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Perkins tries to improve his position but instead Gunderson has taken his back!

Perkins is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Gunderson.
Perkins has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gunderson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Perkins defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Perkins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gunderson controls the position.

A lull in the action here.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Gunderson is looking to control Perkins but Perkins is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Gunderson is hanging on to Perkins's back as he tries to escape.
Perkins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gunderson on the ground.

I really don't envy Perkins right now.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Gunderson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Gunderson is persistently looking for the submission but Perkins is defending it well.
Will Gunderson go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Gunderson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Perkins's body.
Perkins can't escape the position.
Perkins staying busy and making it hard for Gunderson to control.
Perkins is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Perkins trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Gunderson is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Perkins is tapping out! This one is all over!
