Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jalen Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Wholeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marc Wholeman!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wholeman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Moore's half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wholeman can do anything to dispel that myth.

Moore slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Wholeman wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Moore scores with a one two! Wholeman had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Marc Wholeman has been cut.

Wholeman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Moore tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wholeman is in Moore's guard.

Moore tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Moore fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wholeman avoids it really well and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wholeman is looking to take a break and control but Moore is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jalen Moore dominated that second round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Moore works over Wholeman's head and body with a nice combination.
Moore looks for a takedown but Wholeman sprawls well.

Moore stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Moore is defended easily by Wholeman.

Moore lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Moore throws a series of strikes that have Wholeman backpedaling.

Wholeman won't allow Moore to sweep him here.
Wholeman throws a strike but Moore rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Marc Wholeman.
I think Wholeman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
