Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Probst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Petrenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Probst comes into the arena with Ballad of Worms blaring out of the sound system. Petrenko has chosen Bro Hymm/ Pennywise as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dmitry Petrenko!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Petrenko. Those never looked like landing.

and Probst counters with a good, hard body kick but Petrenko shrugs it off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Petrenko throws a nice looking combination but Probst bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Probst counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Probst moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Petrenko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Probst counters with a slapping leg kick.
Probst throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Petrenko throws a right hand that Probst ducks under and follows up with a left that Probst also avoids with ease.
Petrenko avoids a kick to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Probst throws a head kick that Petrenko semi-blocks.
Petrenko throws a low kick but it's checked well by Probst.
Probst is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Probst throws a half hearted mid kick.
Petrenko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

No joy there for Petrenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Probst tries to circle away but Petrenko has him pinned against the cage.
Probst on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Probst is looking to break free of the clinch but Petrenko has double underhooks.
Petrenko makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Probst wants to break the clinch but can't.
Petrenko slows down the pace here.
Petrenko throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Petrenko lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Petrenko misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Probst.
Petrenko tries a body shot but Probst blocks it.

Probst is trying to push Petrenko away but Petrenko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Probst wants to get back to striking at distance but Petrenko won't allow it.
The referee calls for Petrenko to work.
Petrenko lands an elbow just above Probst 's eye.

Petrenko manages to break the clinch.
Petrenko takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Probst with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Petrenko avoids the head kick by Probst.
Nice shot by Probst.
Petrenko steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Probst. That one must have hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Probst swinging wildly here.

and Probst counters with a one-two to the body.
Petrenko avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeff Probst will probably get the nod.

Petrenko has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Probst.

Probst throws a head kick that Petrenko semi-blocks.

Petrenko pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Petrenko takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Petrenko moves into range and clinches up with Probst.

and Probst counters with a leg kick.
A head kick misses from Petrenko.
Petrenko is breathing heavily.
Petrenko tries to bum rush Probst with a series of wild strikes but Probst uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Probst lands a jab-cross combination.
Petrenko misses with a body punch
and Probst counters with a three punch combo that has Petrenko backing up. Petrenko nods at Probst to acknowledge the strikes.


Petrenko is rocked!
Probst catches Petrenko with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Petrenko forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jeff Probst!
