1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brock Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoekstra swinging wildly here.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Lesnar has eaten all the pies! Hoekstra throws a series of punches but Lesnar moves out of range. Hoekstra tries to bum rush Lesnar with a series of wild strikes but Lesnar uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hoekstra fails with the takedown and Lesnar counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hoekstra! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hoekstra is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hoekstra sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Lesnar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lesnar drops an elbow to the side of Hoekstra's head. Lesnar working Hoekstra over with strikes. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brock Lesnar dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lesnar misses with a straight left. Hoekstra feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lesnars jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut. Lesnar tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hoekstra misses with the combination.
Lesnar keeps the fight on the outside. Hoekstra misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hoekstra moves into range and connects with a jab. A punch combination from Hoekstra misses. Hoekstra cracks Lesnar with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hoekstra has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Lesnar to stand back up!
Lesnar is rocked! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hoekstra lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Lesnar is looking to close the distance but Hoekstra sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Lesnar crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Lesnar is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
