Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Traverse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AkoSii MangKulot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Philip Traverse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, AkoSii MangKulot! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Traverse misses with an uppercut. MangKulot tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. MangKulot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Traverse has his hands on MangKulot's head, controlling the position. Traverse working a defensive guard here.
Traverse is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. MangKulot is aware though and is defending well. Traverse is trying to keep MangKulot in close.
Traverse keeping moving, preventing MangKulot from controlling successfully. MangKulot wants to pass the guard but Traverse is keeping the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Traverse is on top in guard.
MangKulot bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Traverse's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Traverse is controlling MangKulot's posture. MangKulot looking to pass the guard. Traverse wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. MangKulot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Traverse swivels though and keeps the full guard. MangKulot stopping the sweep attempt from Traverse.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. MangKulot misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Traverse throws a shot from downtown. MangKulot moves away and avoids it. Traverse throws a right and a left that both miss. Traverse looks to land a combination but MangKulot avoids it well. Traverse stuffs the takedown. MangKulot fails with a takedown attempt. Traverse fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. MangKulot sprawls well initially but Traverse persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Traverse trying to pass the guard but MangKulot defending well. MangKulot trying to control here.
MangKulot tries to roll over but Traverse keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MangKulot is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Traverse moves into full mount! MangKulot won't be happy about that! Traverse lands with some vicious ground and pound - can MangKulot hang on? Traverse sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Traverse can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as MangKulot is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. MangKulot wants to hold on but Traverse pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Traverse takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Traverse is in the full mount, landing strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Traverse trying to control but MangKulot is having none of it. MangKulot working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Philip Traverse dominated that round. That's time! Traverse's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Traverse misses with the combination.
Traverse lands a glancing blow to the side of MangKulot's head. MangKulot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. MangKulot closes this distance looking for a takedown but Traverse circles away. Traverse cracks a nice hook into MangKulot's ribs. Traverse throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Traverse is defended easily by MangKulot. MangKulot throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Traverse was covering up waiting for the punch and MangKulot finishes the takedown easily into guard. Traverse controls MangKulot momentarily but MangKulot frees himself. MangKulot trying to control the position from guard on top but Traverse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. MangKulot postures up.
Traverse has MangKulot pulled in close to control his posture. Philip Traverse overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Traverse looking to hit a scissor sweep but MangKulot is one step ahead there.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Traverse scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Traverse is defended easily by MangKulot. Traverse looks to throw the jab but MangKulot is out of range. Traverse is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by MangKulot. Traverse lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Traverse shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says MangKulot as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philip Traverse. That's going to take a lot out of him. Traverse rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but MangKulot moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Traverse misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from MangKulot.
MangKulot stuffs the takedown. MangKulot slips a straight right by Traverse. MangKulot misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Traverse swings for the body but MangKulot moves out of range.

MangKulot takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Traverse thows a body shot but no joy. MangKulot gets a clinch. MangKulot prevents a body shot from Traverse.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Traverse wants a takedown.
Traverse goes for a takedown in the clinch but MangKulot prevents it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Traverse breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Traverse gets caught napping as MangKulot dives in and scores a takedown. Traverse manages to retain guard. Traverse trying to keep a closed guard but MangKulot is proving a slippery customer.
MangKulot avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Traverse is really struggling to control MangKulot but he's trying to hold on to the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Philip Traverse has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Traverse throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. MangKulot slaps away a takedown attempt from Traverse, before circling back to the center of the mat. Traverse lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but MangKulot circles away quickly and effectively. MangKulot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Traverse tries to avoid it but MangKulot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Traverse to the ground. Traverse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Traverse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but MangKulot manages to avoid it. Traverse misses with a series of wild punches.
MangKulot tries to score a power double leg takedown but Traverse sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten MangKulot somewhat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Philip Traverse dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
MangKulot shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Traverse moves into full guard.
Traverse is pulling down on MangKulot's head. It's preventing any offense from MangKulot, at least for the moment. Traverse not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Traverse working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. MangKulot doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. MangKulot manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. MangKulot advances position into side control! Traverse is positioning himself to get back to half guard. MangKulot working away. MangKulot wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Traverse, who protects the arm well. Traverse is positioning himself to get back to half guard. MangKulot tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no MangKulot has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Traverse tries to improve position but can't. MangKulot working away. MangKulot is chipping away with strikes.
MangKulot looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. MangKulot takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Traverse tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but MangKulot wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Traverse is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on MangKulot's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. MangKulot trying to pass the guard but Traverse defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Traverse trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Traverse is trying to get back to full guard. MangKulot trying to control from half guard but Traverse is working away.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. MangKulot gets caught flat footed, as Traverse shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. MangKulot looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. MangKulot has his foot on Traverse's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Traverse works his way back into a safe position though. MangKulot is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Traverse is controlling him. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if MangKulot can do anything to dispel that myth. Traverse stands and throws MangKulot's legs to the side, diving into side control. Traverse scoring with punches and elbows. Traverse wants to control but MangKulot is keeping him busy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Traverse decides to stand back up. Traverse steps back and let's MangKulot get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Philip Traverse showed his dominance in that final round. Well Traverse has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Philip Traverse wins by unanimous decision! In his post fight interview, Philip Traverse started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
