Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Beserker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beserker misses the jab. Beserker swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hernandez. Beserker thuds a left hand into Hernandez's body. Beserker lands with a good body shot. Beserker misses with a hook. Hernandez ducked under it nicely. Hernandez with a poor takedown and Beserker counters with a nice uppercut. Hernandez misses with a takedown and Beserker counters with a single leg into guard. Hernandez didn't expect that. Hernandez looks winded! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Beserker controls from within his opponent's guard. Beserker working some strikes from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beserker passes into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beserker stalling. Beserker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Beserker is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hernandez sees it coming and defends easily. Beserker is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hernandez is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beserker with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Beserker works his foot free and advances to mount. Beserker controlling from mount. Beserker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Andy Beserker just wasn't active enough. Beserker ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Beserker throws a nice looking combination but Hernandez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hernandez fails with the takedown and Beserker counters with a nice uppercut. Andy Beserker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Hernandez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beserker connects with a single shot there. Beserker thows a left - swing and a miss! Hernandez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Beserker gets a takedown into half guard. Beserker lands with a punch from half guard. Beserker is figuring out what he wants to do next. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Beserker scores with a couple of good hammerfists. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Beserker dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Beserker digs a good body shot into Hernandez's ribs. Andy Beserker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hernandez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Beserker scores with a counter punch that sends Hernandez to the canvas! Beserker smells blood - he's punishing Hernandez with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Hernandez has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
