The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Lucas.
Kanerva's corner calls for a 1-2. Kanerva obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A swing and a miss from Lucas.
Kanerva throws a hook but Lucas avoids it easily.
Lucas lunges at Kanerva with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kanerva's hand.

Lucas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Lucas tries to move into range but Kanerva moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kari Kanerva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kanerva pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Lucas might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Kanerva cracks Lucas with a hook to the temple - Lucas is on wobbly legs here! Kanerva swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Lucas falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Kanerva wins by TKO!
