Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rogelio Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beasty Kanne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kanne comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Don't Cry For Me Argentina kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanne dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rodriguez scores with a takedown into Kanne's guard.
Rodriguez trying to control but Kanne is working from the bottom.
Rodriguez's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Rodriguez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kanne looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Rodriguez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kanne swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rodriguez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kanne connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rodriguez. Rodriguez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Rodriguez moves away from the strike by Kanne.

Rogelio Rodriguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kanne is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rodriguez.

Beasty Kanne is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rodriguez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kanne misses with a hook. Rodriguez ducked under it nicely.
Kanne lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kanne.
No joy there for Rodriguez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kanne looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rodriguez misses with a hook
and Kanne counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rodriguez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kanne quickly recovers to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kanne makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kanne.
Rodriguez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rodriguez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kanne works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kanne is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Rodriguez postures up in Kanne's guard and throws a big left but Kanne blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodriguez trying to control the position from guard on top but Kanne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rodriguez is really struggling to control Kanne but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Rodriguez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kanne looking for a sweep. Not yet Kanne, not yet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rodriguez dodges the punch combination from Kanne.
Rodriguez missing with a left hand there. Kanne was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rodriguez has closed the distance and engaged Kanne in a clinch.

Kanne fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Rodriguez trying to stall but Kanne improves his position.
Rodriguez has Kanne pushed against the cage.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Rodriguez for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rogelio Rodriguez will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rodriguez closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Kanne steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rodriguez.
Kanne throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kanne misses with an uppercut.
Rodriguez swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Kanne counters with a one-two to the body.
Rodriguez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kanne's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kanne duly obliges.
Beasty Kanne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kanne throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rodriguez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kanne pinned against the cage. Kanne gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kanne. Rodriguez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rodriguez looks to land a right hand but Kanne moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kanne lands an overhand right.
Kanne might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Kanne lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rodriguez is rocked!
Rodriguez throws a jab but it's blocked by Kanne.
Oh Rodriguez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rodriguez is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Kanne just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Rodriguez has gone limp and this one is over!
