Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scatman Crothers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glass has chosen Birdman ft. Drake& Lil wayne-Money To Blow as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scatman Crothers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Glass!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glass shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Crothers but Crothers pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Crothers clinches with his opponent.

It looks like Mark Glass has been cut.
Crothers with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Glass pulls Crothers into guard.

Crothers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Glass has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crothers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Glass is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Glass has gone for a leg lock! Crothers slips out almost immediately though and dives into Glass's guard.

Good leg kick by Crothers there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Glass shoots for a takedown but Crothers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Crothers has taken the fight to the clinch.
Crothers lands a nice knee to the body.

That has opened up Mark Glass's cut even more.
Crothers has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Glass is proving hard to escape from.

Glass seems to have recovered his senses.

Glass is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Glass is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Glass shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Crothers as he jumps to the side.

Glass shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crothers pinned against the cage. Crothers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Glass has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Crothers is trying to keep an underhook but Glass manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Glass shoots in looking for a takedown. Crothers tries to sprawl out of it but Glass keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crothers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Some bone on bone action there as Glass checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Scatman Crothers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Crothers is looking to clinch.
No luck for Glass with that takedown attempt.
Glass blocks a head kick by Crothers.
Glass misses with a takedown attempt - Crothers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Glass is working for takedown but Crothers is calmly controlling the position for now.

Crothers will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Crothers stuffs the takedown.
Crothers tries to close the distance and clinch but Glass swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Crunch! Crothers slams his shin into Glass's torso.
Crothers lands a head kick!

Glass drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Glass is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Crothers has escaped the position, nice work there.
Crothers defending against the ground and pound.
Glass trying to control the action but Crothers is working from the bottom.
Glass looks up at the clock and then as Crothers takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Glass smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Mark Glass has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Glass is working to tighten is grip on Crothers's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Crothers has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Glass is really squeezing tight and eventually Crothers passes out! Glass breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
