Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josef Urrah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joko Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urrah comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - Oney. Joko Diaz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josef Urrah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joko Diaz! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Urrah scoring well with a low kick there.
Urrah throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Urrah throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Urrah looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range. Diaz moves out of range as Urrah strikes. Diaz shoots in and drives through. Urrah sprawls well. Josef Urrah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Urrah gets tackled into the cage by Diaz. Diaz maintains the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Urrah. Diaz effectively controlling the action here. Urrah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Diaz looking to stall.
Diaz is looking to break free of the clinch but Urrah has double underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Urrah stalling against the cage.
Urrah keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Diaz's efforts to push away. Urrah prevents Diaz from breaking the clinch. Urrah breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Urrah tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Diaz is able to avoid easily. Urrah lands a glancing blow to the side of Diaz's head. Urrah misses with a leg kick. Urrah misses with an uppercut. Diaz saw that one coming. Urrah works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Urrah, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Diaz motions for Urrah to come forward. Diaz throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Diaz fails in his attempt to clinch. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Urrah swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diaz throws a lazy head kick and Urrah counters with an outside leg kick.
Josef Urrah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Diaz checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A looping hook to the body misses from Urrah. Diaz does a little dance to reset his feet. Diaz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Urrah counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Urrah will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Diaz moves out of range of the strikes. Diaz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A chopping leg kick lands by Urrah. Diaz shoots for a takedown but Urrah saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Urrah swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Diaz on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Urrah takes a swing at Diaz's ribcage but misses. Urrah is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Urrah's corner calls for a 1-2. Urrah obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Urrah misses with a hook. Diaz ducked under it nicely. Urrah tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Diaz misses with a takedown attempt - Urrah sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Josef Urrah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joko Diaz. Urrah connects with a body shot that sends Diaz's belly button to the back. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Urrah uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Urrah sizes up Diaz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Urrah connects with a leg kick. Diaz looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Urrah tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Urrah to the ground. Urrah escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A left lands for Urrah. Urrah is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Diaz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Good leg kick by Urrah there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Good shot there by Urrah. Urrah throws a nice looking combination but Diaz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A nice inside leg kick there by Diaz. That's going to slow Urrah down. Urrah tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Urrah connects with a single shot there. Diaz closes the distance looking to clinch and Urrah counters with a straight right hand. Diaz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Urrah on his heels. He'll look to pass Urrah's guard now, I'm sure. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Urrah looking for a guillotine here but Diaz defends easily.

Diaz lying in Urrah's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Urrah decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Diaz taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
