Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kristus Koistinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos The Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kristus Koistinen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Carlos The Cannon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kristus Koistinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos The Cannon! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koistinen lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends The Cannon sprawling to the canvas. Koistinen follows him down, looking for the kill. Can The Cannon hang on?
It looks like Carlos The Cannon has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. The Cannon is trying to control but can't.
The Cannon is trying to stand up here but Koistinen is controlling him well. Koistinen is trying to control the action in half guard but The Cannon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Koistinen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Koistinen lands a big shot there that rocks The Cannon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Koistinen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Koistinen tries to control but The Cannon wriggling away. Koistinen is really struggling to control The Cannon but he's trying to hold on to the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Cannon manages to regain half guard. Good work. The Cannon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Koistinen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Koistinen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and The Cannon defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koistinen not landing any meaningful shots this time. Koistinen trying to control the pace. Koistinen tries to pass to full mount but The Cannon defends it. The Cannon is trying to get back to full guard. Koistinen wants to pass to mount but The Cannon is defending the position. Koistinen drops an elbow to the side of The Cannon's head. The Cannon is trying to stand up here but Koistinen is controlling him well. Koistinen moves into full mount! The Cannon won't be happy about that! Koistinen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koistinen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The Cannon is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The Cannon is looking to get to half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Koistinen tries to control but The Cannon wriggling away. Koistinen quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Koistinen but it's paid off an The Cannon is forced to tap! Nice work by Koistinen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kristus Koistinen! Kristus Koistinen was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
