The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cruz moves into the clinch successfully.
Ross wants to get back to striking at distance but Cruz won't allow it.
Ross is trying to break the clinch but Cruz is controlling him.
Ross wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cruz has him pressed against the cage.

Ross can't break the clinch.

Cruz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ross takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cruz is looking to clinch.

Cruz lands a big head kick that sends Ross tumbling to the mat! Cruz takes a step backwards and waves Ross back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ross is rocked!

It looks like Barney Ross has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cruz looks for the body kick but Ross saw that one coming.
Oh Ross is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cruz throws a nice inside leg kick.

Ross fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cruz, pushing him back against the cage.

Cruz is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Cruz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cruz lands a big head kick that sends Ross tumbling to the mat! Cruz takes a step backwards and waves Ross back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cruz explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Ross is breathing heavily.
Cruz lands a nice looking body kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Cruz. That's going to slow Ross down.
Ross takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Ross will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Cruz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ross. That did some damage!
