Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Super Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Maurer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Super Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mario Maurer!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maurer lands a right hook to the body.
Maurer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Maurer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Man.
A looping hook to the body misses from Man. Maurer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Man misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A head kick misses from Maurer.
Man throws an overhand right that lands on Maurer's shoulder, as Maurer tries to avoid the shot.
Man takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Maurer jabs at Man's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maurer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maurer loads up on a big right hand but Man slips the punch.
Man throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maurer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Man is defended easily by Maurer.
Good exchange - Maurer coming out on top.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Maurer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maurer scores with a jab.
Maurer scores with a jab to the head.
Man misses with a combination
and Maurer counters with a stiff right hand.
Maurer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Man ducks right into an uppercut from Maurer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Maurer cracks Man with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Maurer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Man to stand back up!


Man is rocked!
Maurer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Man.
Oh Man is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Super Man. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maurer misses with a looping right.
Man seems to have got his legs back now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Maurer cracks Man with a good jab.
Maurer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Maurer blocks a head kick by Man.

Man closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Man lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Maurer controlling Man's posture.

Maurer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Man doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Man manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maurer wants to sweep here but Man controlling him for the moment.

Maurer throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Man wants to control from the top but Maurer keeps moving.
Maurer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Maurer wants to stand and escape but Man is having none of it.
Man throws a big right hand that misses.
Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Maurer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Maurer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Maurer has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maurer is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maurer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Man works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Maurer postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Man keeping moving, preventing Maurer from controlling successfully.
Man is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mario Maurer dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Maurer clinches up with Man and pushes him back against the cage.
Man looking to stall.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Maurer.
Maurer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Maurer scores with a shoulder strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maurer manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Maurer lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Maurer digs a right hand underneath Man's ribcage. Man let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Maurer breaks the clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Maurer darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Maurer jabs Man to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Maurer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Man.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Maurer drops Man with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Man looks back up at him and smiles so Maurer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Crack! Maurer connects with the perfect overhand right and Man falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Maurer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mario Maurer!
Mario Maurer decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
