The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machine connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gabriel momentarily.

It looks like Jacques Gabriel has been cut.
Machine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gabriel.
Gabriel lands with a cross.
Machine throws a leg kick but Gabriel checks it.
Gabriel dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Machine drops Gabriel with a beautiful combination! Gabriel stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Machine is looking for the KO!

Gabriel is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Machine feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gabriel's calf.

War Machine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gabriel sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Machine looks to throw the jab but Gabriel is out of range.

Gabriel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Machine swats him away and circles back towards the center.

War Machine is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gabriel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Machine looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Machine throws a jab but it's blocked by Gabriel.

and Gabriel counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Machine!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gabriel is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Machine can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Machine sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Machine throws an overhand right that lands on Gabriel's shoulder, as Gabriel tries to avoid the shot.

Machine tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Machine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gabriel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gabriel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gabriel goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Machine turns into him and now he's in Gabriel's guard.

Gabriel has his foot on Machine's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Machine works his way back into a safe position though.
Gabriel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gabriel has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Machine should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gabriel has tightened it up now! Machine should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
