Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Dagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kang Sheng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheng has chosen Bitches Brew by Miles Davis as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Danny Dagger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kang Sheng!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Dagger with that takedown attempt.
Dagger shoots for a double leg takedown but Sheng sprawls well. He's pushed Dagger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sheng throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dagger keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sheng throws a nice looking combination but Dagger bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sheng wants to clinch up but Dagger keeps it at a distance.
Nice defenses there by Dagger.
Dagger bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sheng scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Sheng stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sheng wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Dagger. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dagger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Dagger is trying to get an arm triangle but Sheng is defending well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dagger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dagger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dagger looks up at the clock and then as Sheng takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dagger smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dagger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sheng keeps working.
Sheng wants to get back to his feet but Dagger drags him back down.
Sheng really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dagger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The strikes coming from Dagger are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dagger is looking to take a break and control but Sheng is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dagger is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sheng is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Sheng prevents Dagger from moving into mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dagger in side control lands a decent elbow.
Dagger trying to control the position but Sheng is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dagger has hold of Sheng's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Sheng seems comfortable defending it but Dagger has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Sheng is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Sheng is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Dagger couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Danny Dagger!
After winning the bout, Danny Dagger thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
